Jacob joined the staff at First Baptist Church in February of 2024. He moved around a lot as a kid, but calls Independence, Kansas home. Jacob has served at two prior churches as the youth pastor before joining First Baptist as the Student Pastor. Jacob earned his Undergraduate degree in Youth Ministry from Southwest Baptist University in 2020 and His Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2022. Jacob met his wife, Stefani, at SBU in the band program, but please don’t ask him to play! They were married in April 2019. Jacob and Stefani have one son, Judah. Jacob is committed to preaching and teaching the Gospel to the next generation. He does this through discipleship, teaching through the scriptures, and just living life with the students.
