Music is an integral part of our worship services at First Baptist St. Charles. The Bible tells us that when we offer our lives to God for His purpose, we are actually participating in an act of worship (Romans 12:1). Consequently, when we join together to worship, it is simply a culmination of practicing a lifestyle of worship. Music for our 9:30am service is led by choir and orchestra, while the music for the 11:00am service is band led.

The Music Ministry at First Baptist St. Charles offers many opportunities to participate, including choirs, vocal and instrumental ensembles, bands, and drama. If you have a heart for music, you will find opportunities for vocalists and musicians of all ages.

Worship & Music Opportunities

The worship choir sings every Sunday morning during our 9:30am worship service, as well as many special events throughout the year. We want to honor God in all that we do, recognizing our purpose is to lead people in worshiping God through music, and to create an environment in which they may connect with God and experience worship. The choir is open to anyone post high school age and older who has a passion and desire to sing. Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm.

The Worship Orchestra is a group of musicians who are called to use their talents to serve God.  The orchestra enhances the music, providing an atmosphere conducive to worship during our 9:30am Sunday worship services as well as seasonal presentations. The orchestra is open to anyone high school age and older who is proficient at a brass, woodwind, or stringed instrument. Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30pm.

The worship band is a group of vocalists and musicians who serve God and our church at the 11:00am Sunday worship services.  For more information about the band, please contact David Butler.

We desire to teach children the joy of singing to the Lord, with an ultimate goal to create lifelong worshipers, placing Jesus at the center of everything we do. The KidsCity Choir is for students Kindergarten through 5th grade. The children’s choir sings at various Sunday morning worship services and special presentations throughout the school year. KidsCity Choir meets on Sundays at 8:15 or 11:00am as part of KidsCity Worship. Come and join the fun!

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.  Colossians 3:16
