Failure never has to be the final word on our life. Peter failed Jesus. To fail Jesus can be bad enough, but for Jesus to then look directly at you after failing had to be overwhelming. Peter wept bitterly. Nevertheless, Peter’s failure and his restoration became a defining moment.
What kind of heart do you have? When the prodigal son returned home there were two very different responses. He was joyfully welcomed by the father. He was obviously despised by the older brother. We never now where someone has been or what they have been through, so seek to show a fatherly heart!
He has come for us! What a tremendous way that God has expressed His awesome gift of love! God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, as a demonstration of His love that we might experience forgiveness, new life and eternal life with Him in heaven.
