“I’m thirsty.” How many times have we heard this when we are tucking our children into bed – as they try to put off going to sleep a little while longer! Jesus addresses those who are spiritually thirsty in John 7. Jesus invites us to experience spiritual refreshing that can only be found in Him.
Life is filled with stress, frustration, disappointment, uncertainty, hurt, and sorrow, but Jesus promises rest. Rest is not found in religious tradition, church membership, or trying to make sure your good outweighs your bad. Rest is found in Jesus! His personal invitation to you is “Come unto Me…”
