Texas Relief Mission Trip

Hurricane Harvey smashed into the coast of Texas in late August 2017, immediately creating one of the largest natural disasters in the U.S. since Hurricane Katrina. Our relief mission trip will focus on helping families whose homes have been flooded and left for ruin. The clean out and reconstruction of homes is happening quickly so we should go with an open heart ready to serve and step into the process. This is an incredible opportunity for God’s people to mobilize to help others in a time of great need! First Baptist Church St. Charles is partnering with First Baptist Church Groves, Texas to be the hands and feet of Jesus as the cleanup and rebuilding process is in progress.

Pastor Tim Shepard and Stan Norton will be leading this trip. The team will be taking a church van to Texas on Monday morning, November 13, and returning to St. Charles Friday evening, November 17. The trip expenses are covered by First Baptist Groves, but the team will take up a mission offering at the mission site to leave with them to support their ministry and relief efforts. Space is limited for this trip! Sign up begins on Sunday, October 1. Stop by the Information Center to sign up.
